What is Fogdrip?

Science: Transpiration--the trees rake the moisture in from the fog at night, and rain it down into the water table in the day. In an old growth forest, the trees create 40% of the water table. Read more about that here.

Spirit: Deep Ecology. Gaia is the earth as a single self-sustaining organism, of which we are a functioning, interactive part. I think of Fogdrip as holy water, that which I used to dab on my forehead as a devout child, when entering the central nave of St. James.

Politics: Humans are better off when they take care of each other in a Gaiac way: that is, respecting interdependence and diversity, taking responsibility for the whole, allowing for cycling, balancing, and the inevitability of error. Errors, as in a traditional Navaho rug, allow the spirit to move in and out.

Art: Fibonacci spiral, fractals in nature, wave forms.

These four aspects are integrated at our sub-cellular information level, and resonate throughout the levels of reality. We are healthy when we are aligned with Fogdrip, unhealthy to the degree we try to deny it, fight it, or control it.
